  15. The first version of this memo, describing a possible next generation
  16. of Internet protocols, was written by the present author in the summer
  17. and fall of 1989, and circulated informally, including to the IESG, in
  18. December 1989.  A further informal note on the addressing, called
  19. "Toasternet Part II", was circulated on the IETF mail list during
  20. March of 1992.

  22. This memo defines an Experimental Protocol for the Internet community.
  23. It does not specify an Internet standard.  Discussion and suggestions
  24. for improvement are requested.  Please refer to the current edition of
  25. the "IAB Official Protocol Standards" for the standardization state
  26. and status of this protocol.  Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
